SPOKANE, Wash., Sept. 2, 2026 — Approximately 2,024 Avista electric customers in Colfax and the surrounding area will experience a planned power outage beginning at 10:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17. Power is expected to be restored by 6:00 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18.

All affected customers will be notified in advance. No road closures are expected during the time of the outage.

During this time, Avista crews will be performing maintenance and upgrades to the substation in east Colfax. These updates are part of Avista's ongoing efforts to enhance the safety and reliability of its infrastructure.
