Spokane, Wash. August 19, 2026: Approximately 636 Avista electric customers east of Deary in Helmer, Bovill and Elk River will experience a planned power outage on Thursday, August 27. The planned outage will start at 1:00 a.m. and end at 5:00 a.m. 

All affected customers will be notified in advance. No road closures are expected during the time of the outage.

During this time, Avista crews will be replacing aging infrastructure, including power poles and equipment, in the area. These updates are part of Avista's ongoing efforts to enhance the safety and reliability of its infrastructure.
