Spokane, Wash. August 1, 2025: Approximately 320 Avista electric customers in the Northport area will experience a planned power outage. The outage will occur on Wednesday, August 13. The outage will start at 8:00 a.m. and end at 2:00 p.m. Impacted customers will be notified in advance.

Deep Lake Boundary Road. will have a lane closure one mile north of Deep Lake. Traffic control will be in place.

During this time, Avista crews will be utilizing a helicopter to transport five power poles to a remote location near Deep Lake where they will be placed. Avista commonly uses helicopters in hard to access areas.

Avista is continually updating equipment and infrastructure to increase the safety and reliability of its system.
