Avista customers near Rice to experience a planned power outage
Spokane, Wash. Oct. 14, 2020: Approximately 477 Avista electric customers near Rice will experience a three-hour planned power outage on Monday, Oct. 19. The planned outage will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 12 p.m. The outage is necessary as Avista performs upgrades to their equipment in that area. During the planned power outage traffic control will be in place on Miles Road as limited traffic disruptions are expected.
“We appreciate our customers’ patience as we perform upgrades to our electric system,” said Nathan Sarber, manager of electric operations in Colville and the surrounding areas. “We will work as quickly and safely as possible to restore service to our customers.”
